Welcome to Intentional Bliss Wellness Services.

Here at intentional bliss the focus is  you.  I take this approach to what it means to bliss well for optimal mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellness. To bliss well means to live a life and cling to a frame of mind that curates your happiness, joy, peace and (eventual) thriving point as you are where you are. How you see things dictates how you move to respond to it. Learning to bliss well will not always be easy but you can learn the tools you need to access a level of serenity in knowing no matter what, you will be able to bliss through it as often as possible. Because you deserve it!

CONCEPT

The concept of wellness has always been a priority for me and I whole heartedly believe in being intentional about life and how I move through the world. With that, my focus as a clinician is on intentional living, mindfulness, the power of meditation, respect for the influence of spirituality, and using a culturally humble perspective that is person-centered as I partner with each client to set their goals. While I know that life can be hard, I firmly believe we can learn to thrive in the midst of tough moments. I am here to support you in finding your best fit path to the life you desire to lead mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically.

APPROACH

My approach to the helping process is holistic and integrative as I believe no one method works for everyone and individual differences are important to attend to during the wellness process. Whatever story you bring to the table is where we begin. Where your story ends should be an exciting journey even in the midst of all “the things.” After all, love, being well takes work. Techniques I utilize during partnerships with clients are informed by some of the following therapeutic approaches: Person-Centered, Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance & Commitment.

EXPERIENCE

I earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Master’s in Social Work and a PhD in Health Psychology and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio with Supervisor designation. With over 23 years of practice in social services I have been a Social Worker since 2000 and I love what I do. Over the years I have worked as: a School Based Therapist, a Child Protective Services case manager, as an Outpatient Mental Health Therapist, a domestic violence group facilitator, a Therapeutic Foster Care therapist, a Psychiatric Therapist in a hospital behavioral health unit, a Medical Social Worker (hospital, home care and dialysis settings), Hospice, a Community Mental Health Supervisor and college Professor. I have presented at local, regional, and national professional conferences, and created and facilitated continuing education workshops for clinicians, educators and other healthcare providers. I also serve my community by volunteering on task forces, coalitions, and with social service organizations. Each position and experience has afforded me the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally and they helped shape me into the clinician I am today. I am forever grateful for the meaningful lessons I learned. I look forward to partnering with you on your wellness journey.
