• Welcome

Welcome to your healing space and thank you for choosing to take the time to read about me and the services I offer. I firmly believe that your journey to mental/emotional/spiritual wellness is a very personal decision that must be scripted by you. No matter where you have been or what you have been through, with a little intention and shift in how you move healing and wholeness can be yours not just for the moment, but as a lifestyle.

Sometimes life is hard and you need a little (or maybe a lot) of support to figure out your next. Choosing to seek out psychotherapy is a move of strength and a level of readiness to change how you are navigating through the world. I believe that wellness is something that is available to everyone. No matter what you have been through, it is possible to heal, to develop emotional, mental and spiritual balance so that you might live your best life. Being well takes work and that is why I am here, to support you to your personal place of bliss-as you see it-as you define it.

  • Treatment Approach

My treatment approach includes providing culturally humble trauma informed person-centered psychotherapy from a holistic perspective. I work with adults experiencing hurdles at many points across the lifespan. Your expertise in your story and my expertise as a psychotherapist dictates which approach I will use to support you in your healing journey.

My treatment approach experience includes use of Person-Centered Therapy, Integrative Mental Health techniques, Mindfulness Based Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy and Creative Therapy Techniques.

Emotions can be like a really complex puzzle to solve. Together, we will sort the puzzle pieces to identify the hurdles in your life that you are ready to conquer and practice the skills to tackle those hurdles in a healthy way moment by moment.

I offer different approaches based on the clients needs. With some clients I use more of a solution focused approach while other clients need something a bit slower to help them process through their situation. I design my sessions uniquely off of what I think would be best for that specific client.

  • What Clients can Expect

Clients can expect to be heard, respected, given tools to succeed in managing their symptoms as they are supported along their path to creating their best life!

I always treat you and your experiences with respect and come from a culturally humble capabilities perspective. BUT, I am honest and will challenge you to revise your perspective for optimal outcomes. I will use a variety of approaches to fit you.

Most of my clients describe me as caring, funny and honest. You will feel, not only heard, but understood and safe when expressing your truths. I provide gentle challenges to pursue wellness differently on their journey to be effective.

  • What I understand

I am a relatable person who understands that life happens, and sometimes we are left to pick up the broken pieces that someone else left behind. I can partner with you to set your intention towards capturing your healing. Laughter is healing- I use it purposefully, appropriately and often.

I have a passion for capturing wellness and I believe that everyone deserves to live in a place where they experience emotional wealth as a lifestyle.

Being well is a priority for me personally and I love what I do. While your decision to engage in change is ultimately an individual process, you do not have to walk the journey alone. I believe in this process and I believe that if you are ready to make the next step your bravery will be rewarding.

I am a mandated reporter and I am required by law to report incidents of abuse perpetrated upon anyone identified as vulnerable and this includes: children, older adults, developmentally/intellectually disabled, animals/family pets. This too will require a release of information and can be rescinded at any time.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
